ACSA Promotes Bill May
To Executive Vice President

William E. May, long-time administrative leader of the Memphis-based American Cotton Shippers Association, has been named executive vice president, effective immediately.

May, who became ACSA senior vice president of international and domestic operations in 1998, will continue to oversee operations in the Memphis office and will now have major responsibility over the association's Washington office.

May has been involved in the cotton business for nearly three decades, beginning with his career as a field representative with the National Cotton Council in the 1970s. He joined ACSA in 1984 when he was named vice president of special projects and executive vice president of the Atlantic and Southern Cotton Associations.
